Pablo Pencil is a cornerstone of the Bisbee arts community. From painting murals on historic buildings to creating the flyers for local events, his artistic mark is all over town. Saturday night you might find him wowing tourists with hilarious caricatures, and in the mornings he is often seen doodling at one coffee shop or another.

In his pre-Bisbee life, Pablo worked as a professional scenic and lighting designer, and a technical director in the theater world and was employed as an assistant to designers at the Boston Ballet Company and the Opera Company of Boston. He taught drawing and sculpture at Plymouth State College and was Artist-in-Residence for the state of New Hampshire. He owned and operated several design businesses that offered such services as event design and production management.

Pablo has resided in Bisbee for the last 20 years, and he keeps himself busy with creative activities such as a cartooning, caricature drawing, mural painting, and building.
