Learning to sew can be an overwhelming prospect for many and starting with the serger can give the quicker gratification needed to compel beginner and intermediate sewers to continue wanting to learn. In this two-day workshop, local designer Meggen Connolley will teach how to create a basic skirt pattern, how to cut the fabric, and then how to sew it together using a serger. Students will leave with the basic serging skills needed to create other serged garments and a finished skirt of their making.

Enrolled students will be emailed a list of recommended materials and tools a few weeks before the class.
